November 9th
On a breezy but still relatively mild morning we walked from Reculver to Coldharbour and back via the railway embankment. We saw 1 Swallow, 1 Gannet W, 62 Dark-bellied Brent Geese, 3 Grey Herons, 4 Mute Swans, 57 Cormorants, 2 Great Crested Grebes, 1 Pied Wagtail, 2 Lesser Redpolls, 105 Linnets, 2 Turnstone, 1 Marsh Harrier, 5 Little Egrets, 21 Ringed Plovers, 1 Grey Wagtail, 6 Redshank, 2 Peregrines, 6 Goldfinches, 5 Little Grebes, 30 Carrion Crows, 1 Mallard, 19 Lapwings W, 11 Golden Plovers, 12 Redwings, 1 Cetti's Warbler, 1 Stonechat, 1 Rock Pipit, 4 Corn Buntings and 1 Great Spotted Woodpecker.
This afternoon Julian Perry found 2 Snow Buntings on the beach by the Oyster Farm.
