January 29th
Early this morning the male Blackcap visited our garden again.
I misread my tide table this morning and arrived at Minnis Bay expecting the tide to be coming in only to find it to be miles out. Nevertheless we had a walk along the promenade and counted 261 Dark-bellied Brent Geese, 22 Cormorants, 11 Redshank, 15 Dunlin, 5 Curlews, 62 Oystercatchers, 2 Grey Plovers, 1 Great Crested Grebe, 4 Turnstone and 1 Little Egret.

At Brooksend we saw 2 Common Buzzards, 21 Mute Swans, 1 Barnacle Goose, 1 Green Woodpecker and 19 Red-legged Partridges.
