April 20th
We arrived at Reculver early for our first spring ringing session of the year and saw 3 Chiffchaffs, 11 Mallard, including a female and 3 ducklings being harassed by a mink, 2 Whitethroats, 5 Mute Swans, 5 Reed Warblers, 6 Blackcaps, 2 Cetti's Warblers, 2 Sedge Warblers, 1 Yellow Wagtail, 2 Common Buzzards, 1 Turtle Dove, 2 Shelduck, 2 Green Woodpeckers, 1 Little Egrets, 1 Marsh Harrier, 1 Kestrel, 8 Goldfinches and 5 Sand Martins.

Birds ringed 16: Wren 1, Chiffchaff 1, Blackcap 4, Cetti's Warbler 1, Reed Warbler 1, Blue Tit 2, Dunnock 2, Song Thrush 1, Blackbird 3.

This afternoon we completed the Chamber's Wall/Green Wall/Coldharbour loop and recorded 8 Whitethroats, 1 Goldfinch, 7 Linnets, 3 Reed Warblers, 1 Yellowhammer, 1 Blackcap, 3 Chiffchaffs, 6 Corn Buntings, 2 Cetti's Warblers, 2 Yellow Wagtails, 1 Little Egret, 8 Oystercatchers, 13 Mallard, 2 Grey Partridges, 171 Carrion Crows, 2 Shelduck, 1 Common Buzzard and 1 Lesser Whitethroat.
