Matt and Marion and Anne and I have just spent a week birding and sightseeing in Poland and Slovakia. The weather was excellent with sunshine and warm temperatures and migration had just begun. We saw a good range of species including Black Storks, Lesser Spotted Eagles, Eastern Imperial Eagle, lots of Caspian Gulls along the rivers, Eurasian Eagle Owl, Grey-headed, Black and Middle Spotted Woodpeckers, Collared Flycatchers and Penduline Tits.
