We didn't manage to get out today until after lunch when we had a walk at Chamber's Wall. We recorded 4 Chiffchaffs, 6 Skylarks, 7 Goldcrests, 3 Robins, 28 Chaffinches W, 26 Goldfinches W, 10 Coot, 1 Curlew, 2 Fieldfares, 4 Siskins W, 8 Linnets, 1 Kestrel, 73 Mallard, 4 Swallows W and 2 Common Buzzards squabbling over a dead Stock Dove.
Derek Smith was out between 1230 and 1600 and walked from Shuart along the railway embankment and recorded 4 Grey Herons, 72 Swallows W, 85 Chaffinches W, 4 Siskins W, 1 Greenfinch W, 36 Goldfinches W, 2 Blackcaps and 35 Chiffchaffs.
