After a light shower the sun came out and the temperature rose and it felt very spring like as we walked from Chamber's Wall to Coldharbour and the Oyster Farm. We counted 4 Chiffchaffs, 10 Skylarks, 1 Marsh Harrier, 4 Song Thrushes, 16 Mallard, 1 Kestrel, 1 Stonechat,
4 Bearded Tits, 2 males and 2 females (120th), 2 Greylag Geese, 2 Redshank, 34 Oystercatchers, 340 Dark-bellied Brent Geese,
1 Pale-bellied Brent Goose, 2 Curlews, 17 Turnstone, 21 Ringed Plovers, 5 Dunlin,
5 Tree Sparrows, 80 Corn Buntings, 3 Grey Herons, 3 Goldfinches, 14 Meadow Pipits, 3 Cetti's Warblers and 1 Green Woodpecker.

First winter Pale-bellied Brent Goose |
Matt was out earlier than us and walked from Reculver to Plumpudding and back via Chamber's Wall. He recorded a good range of species including 182 Dark-bellied Brent Brent Geese,
1 Pale-bellied Brent Goose, 4 Great Crested Grebes, 6 singing Chiffchaffs, 44 Meadow Pipits W, 19
alba Wagtails W, 4 Shelduck, 117 Corn Buntings, 3 Curlew, 12 Stonechats, 19 Redshank, 1 Rock Pipit W, 5 Greylag Geese, 5 Cetti's Warblers, 5 Grey Herons, 2 Little Egrets,
1 Woodcock, 1 Goldcrest, 1 Marsh Harrier, 1 Tufted Duck, 4 Coot, 1 Common Buzzard, 1 Lapwing,
4 Bearded Tits, 5 Dunlin,
5 Tree Sparrows,
1 Yellowhammer, 1 Kestrel,
1 Purple Sandpiper and 1 Snipe.
