March 13th

On another stormy morning we walked inland at Reculver and then had a look at the sea for 40 minutes. We recorded 2 Goldfinches, 1 Firecrest, 5 Chiffchaffs, 1 Great White Egret, 6 Mallard, 2 Great Crested Grebes, 2 Cetti's Warblers, 1 Green Sandpiper and 1 Kestrel. Among the 250 Herring Gulls flying W at Reculver we saw one or two Black-headed and Common Gulls as well as 3 adult Lesser Black-backed Gulls and 1 adult Mediterranean Gull. There was also a Rock Pipit on the rocks by the Towers.
