It was bright, cold and sunny this morning with a very fresh NW wind blowing so we spent 90 minutes at the Towers where we saw 1 Lesser Black-backed Gull W (101st), 1 second winter Yellow-legged Gull W (102nd), 484 Dark-bellied Brent Geese, 1 Great Northern Diver W (103rd), 1 Curlew, 1 Shelduck, 7 Red-throated Divers, 1 Great Crested Grebe, 1 adult Peregrine, 450 Herring Gulls W, 1 Red-breasted Merganser W (104th), 45 Common Gulls and 3 Shags flying E over the Towers.
We then visited Shuart and saw 1 Woodcock (105th), 8 Teal, 1 Wigeon, 30 Mallard and 1 Grey Heron, 1 Purple Sandpiper and 5 Russian White-fronted Geese.
