This morning Matt arrived at Reculver at dawn and walked up to Plumpudding and came back via the railway embankment where I met him and we then walked up to Coldharbour and the seawall before I returned along the Green Wall to Chamber's Wall. Between us we recorded 2 singing Firecrests, 130 Golden Plovers, 2 Stonechats, 4 Rock Pipits,10 Cetti's Warblers, 3 Shelduck, 2 Grey Herons, 1 Greylag Goose, 2 Siskins flying W, 2 Greenfinches, 5 singing Chiffchaffs, 1 male Marsh Harrier, 2 Little Grebes, 6 Coot, 2 Long-tailed Tits, 20 Song Thrushes, 38 Blackbirds, 12 Robins, 47 Corn Buntings, 35 Linnets, 1 male Brambling flying W, 2 Kestrels, 16 Chaffinches, 48 Dark-bellied Brent Geese, 6 Mallard, 1 Little Egret, 22 Yellowhammers, 15 Tree Sparrows, 6 Redwings, 1 Green Sandpiper, 1 Wigeon and 4 Teal.
