March 9th
On a foul, rainy morning we spent forty minutes at Reculver where other than 136 Dark-bellied Brent Geese the only other bird we saw was a smart adult winter plumaged Little Gull flying E close inshore (125th). We then drove inland and found the first winter Bewick's Swan in its usual field with 25 Mute Swans and also 1 adult Lesser Black-backed Gull and 40 Chaffinches.
