There had been a significant overnight change in the weather with a fresh and cold north easterly wind blowing in showers. We walked at Reculver and counted 1 Common Buzzard, 3 Mute Swans, 2 Blackcaps, 10 Tufted Duck, 3 Shelduck, 4 Cetti's Warblers, 13 Mallard, 2 Greylag Geese, 1 Yellow Wagtail, 6 Coot, 26 Sand Martins, 10 Swallows, 2 Pied Wagtails, 2 Long-tailed Tits, 2 Whitethroats, 3 Reed Warblers, 4 Gadwall, 1 Gannet E, 1 Common Gull and 1 Great Crested Grebe.

Matt spent two hours seawatching at Reculver from 0540-0740. He recorded 3 Whimbrel E, 4 Great Crested Grebes, 78 Sandwich Terns E, 3 Lesser Black-backed Gulls, 2 Common Gulls, 1 large auk E, 1 Mediterranean Gull, 2 Common Scoter E, 12 Great Black-backed Gulls and 2 Common Terns E.
